Personal

Tim is the younger brother of run machine and drinking machine Chris, and has been playing for the 4th XI since 2004. The Sarn spinner resisted a lucrative offer from nearby Tondu to team up with his older sibling at Newbridge Fields.

A stylish and versatile batsman, Tim can bat from numbers 1-11. He prefers not to deal in boundaries, but is a clever nurdler of the ball and finds the gaps well. He also enjoys hitting the ball to a fielder and still running, often leaving his team mates and his mother in a state of near cardiac arrest on the sidelines. He has perfected the late cut through the slips fof one, making Brian Lara look like a distinctly average version of Geraint Jones.

His bowling last year was a revelation for the 4th XI, ammasing a record 28 wickets with his carefully flighted off spinners. He claimed the 4th XI Player of the Year, and was a very real threat on a soaking wet strip. He will like to improve though on his other record of dropping the most catches off his own bowling, which was counted at around 21 times last year.

Tim will be in contention for a third team call up in 2007 as he continues his quest to follow his brother into the club 1st XI.
