Another one of Charlie's Angels, Matthew is the son of club legend Adrian and has been playing senior cricket for four summers, as well as being an invaluable performer for the club's youth teams.

Having decided that the task of emulating his free-scoring father was a lofty challenge, Matt wisely chose to take up bowling duties and he has become a key asset in the 3rd XI bowling attack, having previously had success in Andy Marvell's 4th XI side. His controlled, line-and-length bowling becomes particularly effective on slow, low pitches as well as being very economical. Last season he added another dimension to his game by taking his 3rd Man/Fine Leg fielding to unprecedented levels.

There is no doubt that once again, next season the Daniel family will be a formiddable force in the 3rd XI.
