Jonny officially left the club in 2004 for a brief stint at Sully before joining local rivals the Vale. However his player profile remains due to his apperances for the club in this years indoor league and for his unforgettable contribution to this years tour of Estonia. His decision to leave the club remains shrouded in mystery to most of those at Bridgend and perhaps the real reason will only ever be known by Jonny himself and Vale Chairman Iwan Davies.
Jonny is a useful all rounder and is capable of scoring runs quickly when required as well being able to bowl both leg spin and medium pace when called upon. Those who've played with him will also note that he has a unique ability to get under the skin of opposition batsmen and fielding is never quiet when he's around.
Once off the field Jonny is normally one of the first to the bar and to be fair one of the first to buy a round. Although those that wish to who drink with him should be warned that he has a penchant for shots of almost any liqour. In Estonia he proved himself to be a dab hand at Karaoke and those that were there may never forget his timeless rendition of Afternoon Delight. On the other hand they may also never forget his fondness for fire extinguishers.
