Personal

It would be safe to say that Dan is one of the most exciting prospects the club has seen. Still only 16 he has already forced his way into the 1st XI in what is only his third full season playing senior cricket.

Primarily an opening batsmen, he has shown no fear of quick bowling which can often trouble younger players. He relies solely on his sound technique to see him through difficult spells and has already notched up a prestigious club record by becoming the youngest player to score a century for the club in League cricket.

Dan is also a gifted wicket-keeper and has certain established players in the 1st XI looking over their shoulders. However his progress in this departement has been interrupted by chronic knee trouble - a sure sign that he's been drinking and partying too much and not getting enough sleep.

He is also Godson of club legend Keith Hobby who informs us that Dan is his last hope of achieving fame - so no pressure there Dan. As long as he grows enough to use a full size bat and start hitting the ball off the square 2007 should be his best season so far.
