Steptoe and the Young Ones Rescue the Town! The 1st XI were the only team to play on Saturday due to the weather, but they made the most of their lucky break, beating Rogerstone by 54 runs. A win that guarantees them a top two finish.
Despite some rough going early on, with Town struggling at 67-5, Jamie Russell (67) and Rhys Clayton created a new first eleven record for the seventh wicket putting on 99, which got Town to a match winning 218.
All the Town bowlers were in great form, but pick of the attack was player/coach Mike Jones who took 4-39. Match Report
